Red, black, bold, colorful, beautiful. Mienh clothing is reflective of the Mienh culture. The pants, shirt (tunic), turban, sash, cap, and all other articles of clothing are sewn by hand. Women's pants take the longest time to complete, ranging from a year to many years. Usually, a young girl learns how to embroider around the ages of 4-6, and she will then pass on the tradition when she has her own daughter.
The Mienh clothes presented here represent the fashion today in the United States, with influences from Laos and Thailand. By clicking the links, you will find clothing descriptions accompanied by photos.
